Student Group Feature: Unitarian Universalists

Maya Gilmore

Lucy Smith, Annie Sheehy, and Nate Flannery founded the on-campus Unitarian Universalist student group in spring, 2013. Sheehy has since graduated, and Smith and Flannery are currently finishing their Div IIIs, so the group is now headed by signers Rebekah Anderson, Libby Parker-Simkin, and Maya Gilmore. They meet every Thursday at 8 pm in the Spiritual Life Center. These meetings, which are open to students of all religious backgrounds, provide a safe place to share and discover opinions about deep spiritual questions and develop camaraderie. In addition, the Unitarian Universalist group occasionally holds worships and other activities, although most meetings focus on free discussion and the sense of community. Come for the free food; stay for the deep and abiding love!
